Submit a letter to the editor
The American Press welcomes letters to the editor for the Public Speaks column.
All letters must have signatures, street addresses, cities and a daytime telephone number.
Letters may be mailed to P.O. Box 2893, Lake Charles, LA 70602; faxed to 337-494-4070; or emailed to news@americanpress.com.
The maximum word length for letters is 350 words. Letters are routinely edited for brevity and clarity.
Letters that include personal attacks on private individual are not used. Letters must be addressed to the editor, not to third parties.
Letters of interest to the entire community are solicited. We do not print carbon copies or verbatim excerpts from other sources.
