The attorney for a Westlake woman accused of sex crimes with a 13-year-old boy entered a not guilty plea for his client Monday.

Heather F. Daughdrill’s attorney, Fred Lebleu, waived his client’s presence at her arraignment.

Daughdrill, 28, had sex with the boy after picking him up from school without his parents’ permission, said Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers.

She said Daughdrill met the boy while she was teaching at a summer Bible school camp. Daughdrill reportedly had multiple encounters with the boy between June and October 2011.

She is charged with eight counts of sexual battery, three counts of second-degree kidnapping, four counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of contributing to a minor’s delinquency.

Daughdrill also faces similar charges, stemming from the same alleged offense, in Beauregard Parish.

A case management conference has been set for Oct. 9.

Prosecutor Cynthia Guillory said Daughdrill should continue to honor orders to stay away from the victim and all other children in the meantime.

Lebleu acknowledged the requirements and noted that they are a condition of her bond. Daughdrill, who was arrested Nov. 28, is out of jail, but Lebleu said she is under “house arrest.”

Her bond in Calcasieu Parish was set at $47,000; it was set at $200,000 in Beauregard Parish.
