A 34-year-old Sulphur man has been accused of stealing $15,000 worth of nickel tubing from his employer, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Paul V. Longpre, 620 Pearl St., was arrested May 24.
“On May 9, deputies were dispatched to a Sulphur business regarding an employee stealing materials,” Myers said. “During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance video which revealed Longpre stealing from the shop area of the business.”
Longpre has been charged with theft over $1,500. He was later released on a $5,000 bond, which was set by Judge Wilford Carter.
Detective Glenn Lowery was the lead investigator.
