A 21-year-old Sugartown man has been charged with one count of aggravated rape and one count of sexual battery, authorities said on Tuesday.
Beauregard Sheriff Ricky Moses said David C. Worthen was arrested June 8 after turning himself in at the Sheriff’s Office.
Moses said Worthen is accused of having sexual contact with a female juvenile and that his bond was set at $510,000.
Detective Bobbi Ripley was the lead investigator.
Moses also released information on the following arrests:
• Crystal Morrison, 24, DeRidder: Charged with one count of simple battery. Morrison, who was arrested on June 8, was released after posting an $150 bond.
• Cynthia Morgan, 41, DeQuincy: Charged with unauthorized use of a moveable. Morgan, who was arrested on June 12, was released after posting a $5,500 bond.
• Mason Bushnell, 18, Dry Creek: Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by persons under 21 and three counts of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Bushnell, who was arrested on June 15, was released after posting a $3,150 bond.
• Rodney Burgess, 52, DeRidder: Charged with criminal damage to a coin-operated device. Burgess, who was arrested on June 15, was given a $20,000 bond and remains in jail. Moses said Burgess is accused of damaging machines at a laundromat in DeRidder.
