A construction worker from Dallas died in Cameron Parish after an industrial accident at the site of a new jail being built behind the courthouse Monday morning.
Pablo Trejo, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office.
“They were moving a large load of plywood, and when he walked underneath — the load fell and crushed him,” said Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Chris Savoy.
The sheriff’s office said the accident occurred at 9:18 a.m. Monday.

Title: Owner house leveling business
In the mornings is typically when mistakes are made due to the fact everyone is still half asleep, not focused ,distracted, no communication, everyone doing their own thing, taking unnecessary risks because of being in a hurry and taking proper safety measures before attempting to lift and transport the heavy plywood and not fastening it down and bundling it properly to ensure it is fail safe. In my experience most mistakes are made in the mornings because of these things . What I do to remedy/ avoid potential travesties is gather everyone together explain thoroughly the strategy , safety measures, get input around the table from everyone( this helps them visually get involved and more aware of what's about to transpire; and last pray.
