There is no current shelter-in-place, Calcasieu Parish officials said.

During the parish’s weekly test of its emergency alert system, an accidental alert for a shelter-in-place was sent out for the South Lake Charles/Country Club Road area, Dick Gremillion, Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said.

The shelter-in-place call was the result of “human error,” Gremillion said.
