A full-scale mock disaster and emergency drill is scheduled to run Wednesday night through Thursday morning at the Lake Charles Regional Airport.
Officials said the exercise is “designed to test various aspects of security and emergency response, including the simulated crash of an aircraft.”
Federal law requires these tests every three years at every commercial airport. Numerous local, state and federal agencies will participate, along with a large number of emergency vehicles.
