Lake Charles man dies in industrial accident in Sulphur

A 30-year-old Lake Charles man died Wednesday in an industrial accident at Superior Supply and Steel, 318 South Cities Service Highway in Sulphur.
Sulphur Chief Lewis Coats said Thursday that Gerald Wayne Fondel Jr. died when "a large piece of sheet metal fell onto him."
Coats said his department was notified of the accident at 7:24 p.m.
