Lake Charles man charged with incest, rape

A 27-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with three counts of aggravated incest and three counts of aggravated rape, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Karl E. Yancy, 1315 8th St., was arrested Wednesday after a two-week investigation.
“On June 18, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint accusing Yancy of sexually abusing a female family member, beginning in 2009 when the girl was 9 years old,” Myers said in a news release. “Further investigation revealed over the past three years, Yancy had inappropriate sexual contact with the victim on numerous occasions, and also forcefully raped her.”
Judge Kent Savoie Yancy’s his bond at $300,000.
Detective Trey Thomas was the lead investigator.
