Four Georgia residents were arrested Friday morning after a traffic stop netted 15 pounds of marijuana, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said 34-year-old Robert L. Hayward, 28-year-old Antonio D. Holt, 35-year-old William Knight and 24-year-old Jacenta J. Copeland were all charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute.

“At 10:00 a.m., Cpl. Chris Johnson and Cpl. Kevin Hoover with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force observed an SUV and a car traveling together east on I-10 between Vinton and Sulphur,” Myers said in a news release. “After observing them commit traffic violations, Cpl. Hoover and Cpl. Johnson conducted traffic stops on both vehicles.

“Cpl. Johnson recovered a clothing bag on the backseat of the SUV. Over 15 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $10,000, was found in the bag. Cpl. Johnson discovered several miscellaneous papers inside the clothing bag with personal information linking the occupants of the car to the contraband, but nothing was found in the car.”

Judge Kent Savoie set each of their bonds at $25,000.
