An early morning shooting in the parking lot of a local nightclub left one Lake Charles man dead and authorities searching for the suspect.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said the body of 33-year-old Quincy James Lede was found in the parking lot of The Keg, 4010 Goodman Lane. Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Lede was shot in the chest around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

“The investigation revealed Lede was involved in a verbal altercation inside the nightclub with Jordan Mikole Davis and they were escorted out,” Myers said in a news release. “They had a verbal altercation in the parking lot when Davis pulled a handgun and shot Lede.”

An arrest warrant has been issued for the 23-year-old Davis, 1835 Rena St. Myers said he is being charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond has been set at $350,000.

After being questioned by detectives on Sunday, 23-year-old Robert Louis Davis, 1701 Legion St., was charged with accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and bond has not been set.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jordan Mikole Davis is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 491-3605 or Crimestoppers at 439-2222.

Lead investigators on the case are Detectives Billy Spees and John Coffman.

Title: SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My heart and prayers goes out to the mothers of these young men. Most may say you have a choice to go or not to go to a certain place. That place is a death trap. Its been that way for as long as I can remember. Even when it was Festival City. Come on young men, we have lost too many of you either to life sentences in Angola or to Combre cementary. I hope soon you see the entire picture.

Title: Been there myself

Been there many times myself and never saw any trouble, only people having a good time. Club is outside the city in an industrial park area. People wanting to live in quiet neighborhoods should avoid these areas because of the noise anyway.
Unfortunately, people are being shot even in our schools. Are we to close down our schools too? Fact is we losing too many businesses already. Guess we should shut anyplace down that trouble ever happens at!

Title: Shut it Down

This club needs to be closed down. I live behind it and it is nothing more than a nuisance with loud music disturbing the neighborhood till 5 and 6 am. There is nothing but trouble that happens in the wee hours of the night. Drugs are openly used in the parking lot. It needs to be shut down.
