A DeQuiny man was arrested Friday and charged with fourth-offense DWI.
William Allen Shoemake, 37, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. by a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy after he was observed weaving along La. 27 near High Hope Road, traveling off the roadway and hitting a mailbox.
Shoemake, who is on probation for previous DWI offenses, was also charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and careless operation. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
