Ville Platte teens killed in accident
OAKDALE — Two Ville Platte teenagers were killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident on La. 10 just east of Oakdale, state police said.
Kyle Landry, 17, and his passenger, Cade Guillory, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen Parish Coroner’s Office.
Troopers said Landry’s vehicle ran off the road in a curve, overcorrected to the left and crossed the center line, sideswiping another vehicle driven by Lindsay Seal, 20, of Pineville.
Seal’s vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees before rolling over.
She received minor injures and was taken to an area hospital, police said.
All were wearing their seat belts.
Excessive speed is suspected to be a factor in the accident, police said.
Routine toxicology tests are pending.
The accident remains under investigation.
