Lake Charles police have arrested three people in connection with a Dec. 14 burglary at J.D. Clifton Elementary School, officials said.

Stacy Lamb, 18, Christopher Bartie Jr., 21, and an unnamed juvenile were charged with simple burglary and felony theft. Lamb’s bond was set at $30,000; Bartie’s was set at $20,000.

Lt. Kevin Kirkum said the three broke into the school last Sunday and stole a number of electronic devices. Earlier this week, police released a video of the burglary and asked for help in apprehending the suspects in the footage.

Kirkum said the response from the public was an immense help to investigators.

“This is the people’s city, and we know that. Whenever we release information and ask the public for assistance, it’s because we know it’s their city,” he said.

“It’s the people that live here that solve these crimes. There is no such thing as the perfect crime. There is always somebody that knows something about what happens.”

Kirkum said police are still seeking assistance from the public to help recover some of the lost items. Anyone with information can call him at 491-1311.(MGNonline)
