LC woman indicted on murder charge

A Lake Charles woman was indicted on a second-degree murder charge Thursday in the August shooting death of her boyfriend.

Onzeletta Marie Washington, 33, is accused of killing Joseph Lamont Blue, 29, at their home at 2510 Hodges St. on Aug. 8.

Washington called authorities to report the shooting, reportedly saying Blue had been “hitting on” her. She said she shot him with a .38 Special. Blue was reportedly dead when Lake Charles police arrived.

Washington is being held in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $1 million bond.

The grand jury returned indictments on all 13 bills it considered.

Sulphur man Kevin Elroy Jarvis, 39, was indicted on charges of forcible rape and sexual battery.

Calcasieu sheriff’s deputies responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked on Starboard Drive reportedly found Jarvis in the vehicle having sex with a 13-year-old girl. Jarvis is free on $75,000 bond.

Sulphur man Erick Gail Gragg, 36, was indicted on a charge of molestation of a juvenile. Gragg, accused of molesting a 6-year-old girl, is free on $50,000 bond.

Jose Francisco Hernandez-Gragdea, 30, was indicted on a charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile, related to an alleged incident that occurred in July.

Lake Charles man Jesse Wayne Horne, 31, was indicted on a charge of home invasion, two counts of attempted armed robbery, two counts of attempted armed robbery with a firearm and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He is accused of breaking into a home on Medora Street in September. Horne is being held in the CCC on $39,000 bond.

Tanya Marie Arvie, 30, and Debroccia Porter O’Neal, 33, were indicted on charges of second-degree robbery. The alleged incident happened on Sept. 13. O’Neal is being held in the CCC on $30,000 bond.(MGNonline)
