A Lake Charles man has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in relation to a shooting at McMillan Park Thursday night, authorities said.

Andre Jordan Broussard, 22, 1825 4th Ave., turned himself into detectives following the shooting, said Deputy Chief Mark Kraus, Lake Charles Police Department spokesman. Judge David Ritchie set bond at $350,000.

Two people were reportedly shot, one of whom was grazed by a bullet and received medical attention at the scene.
The other person was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital, where emergency surgery was performed, Kraus. The person remains in critical condition, he said.

The shooting reportedly happened on during a candlelight vigil marking the one-year anniversary of a triple killing at the park.

Title: A change of heart?

At least he turned himself in. I'll give him credit for that and hope that it's not too late to turn around his young life.
