BATON ROUGE — Snow.
Here.
In Baton Rouge.
What about where you are?
That’s my little Honda Civic, wondering what the heck is going on.
It’s accustomed to being buried in Baton Rouge dust, dirt, pollen and the debris of progress.
Not snow.
What a fun surprise to wake up to.
There is great coverage and crystal-clear photography on WAFB-TV right now, which I’m watching in high definition. You might be able to get some good looks at the aftermath and the effects effects upon traffic by checking out the various points of view on the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development’s traffic cams.
The high temperature here a year ago today? A record-high 83 degrees.
Ah, south Louisiana weather.
Word is we got 3 inches of snow this morning.
Here’s a great LSUSports.net photo gallery of the winter wonderland on campus. Enjoy!
