Youngsville man killed in Vermilion Parish crash

ABBEVILLE (AP) — State police are investigating a single vehicle crash on La. 14 that claimed the life of a 22-year-old Youngsville man.
Troopers say David Hilton was eastbound Thursday afternoon when his pickup ran off the road, overturned and struck a tree east of Abbeville.
Trooper Stephen Hammons says Hilton, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead by the Vermilion Parish Coroner.
A passenger in Hilton's vehicle, 27-year-old Grant Vercher of Erath, was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
