A 31-year-old Westlake man was sentenced in federal court Friday to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography, said U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley.
Michael Sonnier, who pleaded guilty Aug. 1, was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release.
Finley said authorities detected Sonnier downloading child pornography using file-sharing software.
A search of his computer and phone revealed that he had downloaded more than 26 movies of child pornography, including sadistic material depicting prepubescent children, she said.

Title: Nice press release
No its not enough. Why haven't you voiced your outrage when the AP post the names of of Criminals like DWI 1st,2nd, and 3rd offenders or drug traffickers. The guy is a criminal of the worst sort. I'm sorry but how can you justify defending a person who committed and was found guilty of such a horrible crime. He must be a relative. Smh !!!

Title: C'mon Jackie
Your an idiot. You make it sound like they were "just videos". Did you forget they were 26 CHILD PORNOGRAPHIC videos for heavens sake! With a last name like yours, one would think you would be more sympathetic towards children istead of a punk @$$ child pervert. How long would it have taken before this perv started acting on his fetishes instead of watching them? Once the general jail population find out what he is in there for, well, lets just say he will feel as helpless as a child.

No it's not enough! Should be 20 years and no technology for him when released!!! You obviously must be related to this pervert! Its called information, which is what the American Press is all about.Being from Westlake i am glad that this information is released to the public. Anyone who does this sick act should be brought to the forefront and exposed for parents to see. But where is this guys picture?

Title: Nice press release
Was his sentence not enough? 10 years and a lifetime of supervised release for downloading videos? Must his name also be put in the paper a second time in the form of a Press Release? Once again, the American Press reveals itself the mouth piece of law enforcement.
