Isolated reports of sleet were reported in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas on Wednesday, but an accumulation of sleet is not expected, according to a forecaster with the National Weather Service office in Lake Charles.

"There is a potential of sleet, but overall it is no significant winter weather event," said Meteorologist Stephen Carboni.

Carboni said Southwest Louisiana will continue seeing light rain through this evening. There is little to no rain expected on Thursday.

Wednesday's low is expected to be 37 degrees, and Thursday's high temperature is around 55 degrees.
