The National Weather Service is receiving reports of light snow in parts of east Texas and central Louisiana — including possibly in DeRidder — this morning. This precipitation is very light and is expected to dissipate before noon. No accumulation is expected.
A round of light rain, freezing rain, and /or sleet is expected to begin late tonight into Tuesday morning. The current forecast is this will extend down to the U.S. 190 corridor of east Texas and central Louisiana, but depending on the temperatures and the timing of the precipitation, it could extend further sound along portions of the I-10 corridor of southeast Texas, southwest and south central Louisiana.
Accumulations should be on the light side, but could warrant a winter weather advisory for problems on elevated roads and bridges, especially in east Texas and central Louisiana.
