Vinton man charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile

A 48-year-old Vinton man, a registered sex offender, has been charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Bazinet said Glenn P. Baxter II, 5925 Highway 3112, Lot 4E, is accused of having sexual contact with a 10-year-old juvenile while visiting a Vinton home.
Bazinet said Baxter is an acquaintance of the alleged victim’s family.
“When questioned by detectives, Baxter confirmed the allegations,” Bazinet said in a news release on Monday. “Baxter was convicted of sexual battery in Calcasieu Parish in December 1998.”
Judge Kent Savoie set Baxter’s bond at $15,000.
Detective William Wilcox was the lead investigator.
