Two women have been charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Ragley on Christmas Eve, authorities said.
Jerry Stover, 53, was found shot to death around 8 a.m. Monday outside his home at 15186 US 171.
Beauregard Parish Sheriff Ricky Moses said Catherine Anderson, 54, and Cheryl Schonsby, 50, were arrested on Wednesday. Anderson was allegedly Stover's live-in girlfriend.
"Anderson was arrested at the Beauregard Sheriff’s Office this morning and Schonsby was arrested with the assistance of the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office at her residence in Roanoke," Moses said in a news release. "Detectives believe the motive is domestic related."
Anderson and Schonsby's bonds have been set at $1,250,000.
