LAFAYETTE (AP) — Two University of Louisiana at Lafayette football players were arrested over the weekend and booked with sexual battery. Both players have been dismissed from the team.
The Advertiser reported the victim told police that she was socializing with friends in her UL residence hall and left with a female friend and four men to go to a store after consuming some alcohol. The victim was inside a vehicle when she was fondled and touched on different parts of her body.
Police arrested Darrell Green and Eric Ferguson Saturday night.
Green has played in two games as a reserve this season while Ferguson, a walk-on senior defensive back, has played in five
games. Both are from Texas.
It was unclear whether Green and Ferguson have attorneys.
