COLUMBUS, Ga. — The Louisiana Swashbucklers continued to rebound from a slow start with a second straight win late Saturday night.

The Bucs (2-3) won their first road game of the year, a 77-65 shoot out over the Columbus Lions, who just two weeks ago beat Louisiana in Lake Charles.

Kendrick Perry scored three times on the ground as the Swashbuckler offense ran for 98 yards against Columbus (3-3).

Wide receiver Jordan Rideaux had his biggest game of the year, grabbing nine passes for 117 yards and five touchdowns.

Bucs quarterback Chris Mitchell had his best night finishing, 20 of 30 for 266 yards and six touchdowns.

The Bucs defense still gave up big plays as Lions quarterback Brian Harris, making his first start of the season, was able to score points but not control the game.

Harris finished just 18 of 32 with three interceptions and lost a pair of fumbles.

The Bucs continue their three-game road trip next week when they play the Knoxville Nighthawks (2-5). Louisiana won its first game of the year over Knoxville two weeks ago.
