A man and woman from Lake Charles have been charged with three counts of theft over $500, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said 34-year-old Jo Anne Davis and 37-year-old Cody A. Woodard, both of 1059 Perry St., were arrested on Monday following a almost three-week investigation.

Myers said copper wiring, worth over $3,000, was taken from a home in Moss Bluff on March 2.

“The theft was caught on the homeowner’s surveillance camera,” Myers said. “After airing the video on CrimeStoppers, the two suspects were identified.”

Detective Sgt. Chris Wilrye was the lead investigator on the case.
