This is out thrid annual walk to end domestic violence. Its just an awreness walk. There ws no registration fee or anything. We’re going to start at the Vinton Sherriff substation and then we’re going to end up in LC.

So far we have about 30 or 35 registered already

The first walk was only 3 people

This is going to be my first one. form what Ive been told from our executive president and the board director people are always asking what we’re walking for. You kind of get questions while youre on the way. Its going to be interesting for me.

I know some people, theyre not anticipating walking the whole thing which is cool. It’s awarenness thing. We’re just asking people to walk however long they feel comfortable with. If you dont want to do the whole thing, just come out and join us for a few minutes, a few miles, it doesnt matter, just as long as you’re there.

Next Thursday , Oct 30 at 6 p.m. at the civic center sea wall, we’re going to host flowers on the lake. Its an annual event that we do that honors those that have lost their lives to deomstic violence in the community of the three parish area that we serve.
