PORT ALLEN (AP) — State police arrested six employees suspected of being involved in prostitution operations at two separate Asian massage parlors in West Baton Rouge Parish.

Trooper Jared Sandifer says authorities raided Young’s Therapy and Rainbow Therapeutic around noon Monday and shut down the massage parlors after a two-month investigation. Sandifer says undercover officers were offered sexual favors in exchange for money at the massage parlors.

Sandifer said the establishments were advertising their services on backpage.com — a website that has been used to post prostitution ads in the past.

State Police Superintendent Col. Michael Edmonson said there could be additional arrests and human-trafficking charges filed against the business owners since several of the women arrested Monday appeared to be living at the businesses.
