LEESVILLE (AP) — A Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office deputy resigned after a complaint was lodged against him in an off-duty incident.
Sheriff Sam Craft said in a news release received by The Town Talk his office learned of a complaint filed with Leesville police on Sunday. According to Craft, a victim alleged that deputy Kim Pollock had "made unsolicited sexual advances toward her which resulted in his touching the female in an inappropriate manner."
Craft ordered an internal investigation, and Pollock was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome. As a result of the investigation, Pollock resigned from the sheriff's department.
Craft said a criminal investigation is being handled by the Leesville police.
