The tour which began in February has found the trio performing on stages in amphitheaters and college campuses across the country, but Mandisa said she prefers performing in a church setting such as the one scheduled here.

“Wherever we perform, we’re performing for Christian music fans, but it’s different in a church because every church’s personality is so different. I just like to be at different church environments to see how different bodies worship,” she said.

Brandon Heath who is performing in support of his latest album, October 2012’s “Blue Mountain” said he’s happy to share any stage with Mandisa and Jamie Grace.

“The three of us have been out on the road for about two months now and it’s just been amazing. Of course it’s obvious that these two women are both world-class musicians — but they’ve also got world-class hearts, I love those girls,” he said.

For fans of Christian music unfamiliar with the works of the three artists, Mandisa said the show contains something to entertain everyone.

“The cool thing about Christian music is that it’s a lot like pop music, only it’s uplifting and focuses on the things that matter the most in life, the music we do has an impact on people’s lives,” she said.

“Brandon’s music is very country oriented, Jamie’s is kind of a mix between urban and folk, and me I’m a black girl so I’ve got a bit of everything. I’ve got music that will have you up dancing and clapping that leans towards gospel, but I’ve also got songs that lean towards pop with rock influences. People who come to the show that night will get a bit of everything.”””
