71st performance of ‘Messiah’ set for Sunday

The 71st performance of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in F.G. Bulber Auditorium on the McNeese State University campus.

This year’s presentation will be a “sing along” performance and is open free to the public.

Dr. Darryl Jones, McNeese director of choral activities, will conduct the presentation.

Soloists for this year’s performance are Colette Bulber Tanner, soprano; Kori Jennings, mezzo-soprano; Jin Hin Yap, tenor; and Johnnie Bankens, bass.

A video on McNeese’s 75th anniversary celebration will precede the performance.””
