A former assistant district attorney was indicted Thursday on charges of sexual battery and malfeasance in office.

Ronnie Rossitto, 63, worked at the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office for more than 39 years and was at one point the office’s first assistant district attorney.

The bill of indictedment, signed by Ken Hall, does not give a date for the incident or details to the incident. Under the charges of malfeasance in office, it says Rossitto “intentionally performed his duties in an unlawful manner.”
