A 35-year-old Westlake man has been charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Bazinet said Philo G. Morvant, 620 Neil Road, has been accused of having sexual contact with a 5 year old.
Bazinet said that Morvant, an acquaintance of the alleged victim’s family, confirmed the allegations when questioned by detectives.
Judge Kent Savoie set Morvant’s bond at $50,000.
Detective Cinnamon Salvador was the lead investigator.
