Two of the five men involved in the robbery of the Barksdale Federal Credit Union in DeRidder earlier this week were arrested
Thursday and a third was picked up Friday, authorities said.
Joseph Sariah, 30, and Larry Williams
Jr., 34, both of Beaumont, Texas, were reportedly arrested by the
Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Department. Christopher Kelbinex Eaglin, 32, of DeRidder, was
arrested Friday night in Beaumont by Jasper County authorities,
said DeRidder Police Chief John Gott.
Additionally, an arrest warrant has been issued for Kindal Anderson, 28, of Beaumont. The identity of a fifth person, who
is likewise still at large, will be released at a later time, authorities said.
“We’re still running down all our leads
and sources and doing all the things we need to locate these people,”
Gott said. “We’re
really hoping to find them soon. Everybody’s been working long,
hard hours. But with all of the cooperation, it’s been fairly
easy.”
Police responded to the robbery on
North Pine Street shortly after 4 p.m. Dec. 4. Video footage showed four
men wearing masks,
hoodies and gloves and armed with handguns. Gott said the men —
several of whom have criminal records — fled with an undisclosed
amount of money.
Authorities said the men fled in a white Chevrolet pickup truck, which was later found on Golden Lantern Road north of DeRidder.
