City police continue to investigate what caused a vehicle to travel through an intersection and slam into a concrete barrier

Thursday night, killing two of its occupants, Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said.

Twenty-year-old Christopher Neal Hamrick and 24-year-old Brett Michael Vidallier, both of Starks, died at the scene, while

the driver, 19-year-old Jerry Lee Miller, also of Starks, suffered serious injuries, Kraus said.

Hamrick was in the front passenger seat of the 2001 Honda Civic, and Vidallier was in the rear seat, he said.

The vehicle was exiting Interstate 210 at La. 14 when it crashed.

Kraus said no citations were issued and that a toxicology report was pending.
