A 41-year-old Sulphur woman is facing 21 counts of prescription drug fraud, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Kristina M. Lyons, 3550 Carlyss Drive, was arrested Wednesday.
Myers said Lyons, an employee at a local ophthalmology clinic, has been under investigation for two months.
“Lyons obtained over 315 hydrocodone pills by calling out numerous prescriptions to local pharmacies without the ophthalmologist’s authorization,” Myers said in a news release on Thursday.
Judge Wilford Carter set Lyons’ bond at $10,500.
Detective Chris Romero was the lead investigator.
