Sulphur man accused of throwing debris at passing cars

A 19-year-old Sulphur man has been arrested after allegedly throwing large pieces of debris at passing vehicles on Interstate 10, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Dalton J. Jaquillard, 225 Canal St., Apt. B, has been charged with aggravated criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.

“The Sheriff’s Office received numerous reports regarding a man, later identified as Jaquillard, throwing large pieces of broken concrete and wood debris off of Fabacher Overpass on I-10 near Vinton,” Myers said Thursday in a news release. “The debris hit vehicles, resulting in several injuries and over $10,000 in damages to 13 vehicles in the early morning hours between Feb. 12-15.”
