Ragley woman charged with attempted murder

A 33-year-old Ragley woman has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Wendy A. Istre, 107 Guernsey Drive, was arrested following a stabbing Thursday night.
“The victim was stabbed in the chest following a domestic altercation with Istre,” Myers said. “The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for a punctured lung and he is in stable condition.”
Judge Michael Canaday set Istre’s bond at $100,000.
Cpl. Melissa Mareno was the arresting deputy.
