Mullican to bring magic act to libraries

By Special to the American Press

The Calcasieu Parish Public Library is sponsoring magician George Mullican in eight public libraries as part of the Summer

Reading Program.

Comedy, fun magic tricks and illusions that promote reading and library usage as pathways to achieving dreams are part of the program.

Having retired after over 32 years in law enforcement, Mullican now devotes much of his time to his magic endeavors. He is

a regular performer for the Calcasieu Parish Public Library, and continues to be a favorite of the families who attend the

programs.

His magic tricks are designed to teach and promote a love of reading.
