The McNeese State University art department will hold a gumbo fundraiser 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex Atrium.

The event will raise money to help send ceramics students to the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts conference.

Chicken and sausage gumbo donated by Brickhouse Catering will be served in handcrafted ceramic bowls created by students and faculty members.

Tickets are $10, which includes the bowl. Participents can select one out of 500 bowls created for this event.
