Lake Charles police have identified the man accused of attempting to molest a teenager in a McDonald’s bathroom Thursday,

authorities said.

Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said that after a security camera photo of the man was released to news agencies, the man “came in”

and spoke with police.

An arrest has not been made and the incident is still under investigation, Kraus said.

On Thursday, Kraus said the man approached the 16-year-old boy in the restroom of the McDonald’s on Ryan Street and attempted

to touch him inappropriately.

The boy got away and exited the rest room, Kraus said.
