Three local juveniles are facing multiple charges following an alleged burglary in Sulphur, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said the juveniles — a 15-year-old and two 16-year-old boys — were arrested on March 14.
“Deputies spoke with the victim who said that when he returned home, he observed the three juveniles running behind his house,” Myers said Wednesday in a news release. “During further investigation, the victim discovered his safe had been opened and a prescription bottle of hydrocodone pills were stolen along with two packs of cigarettes.”
Myers said deputies located the juveniles a few hours later.
All three were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft under $500 and drug possession with intent to distribute.
Detective Glenn Lowery was the lead investigator.
