A husband and wife accused of molestation pleaded not guilty Monday to additional charges that they sexually abused children.

John J. Baccigalopi Jr., 43, and

Jennifer Baccigalopi, 31, both of No. 24 6336 E. Opelousas St., were

arraigned Monday on

10 counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of

obscenity. In addition, Jennifer Baccigalopi was charged with

three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

John Baccigalopi was previously indicted on seven counts of aggravated incest, three counts of indecent behavior and one count

of child pornography. His wife was previously indicted on two counts of indecent behavior. Authorities said she knew about

her husband’s actions, but did not report them.

The two are being held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center — John Baccigalopi on $1.6 million bond and Jennifer Baccigalopi

on $1.55 million bond.

John Baccigalopi was indicted in January 2010 on charges related to sexual contact with a 16-year-old and making sexual comments

to her and her 14-year-old friend.

Jennifer Baccigalopi was indicted in February 2010.

In January 2011, charges were added, including one charge of aggravated rape against John Baccigalopi. Authorities said he

had sexual contact with a 4-year-old and a 15-year-old. Kim Myers, spokeswoman for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office,

said the new charges stem from the same investigation.
