Grambling considers saggy pants measure

GRAMBLING (AP) — Police Chief Tommy Clark says saggy pants are getting out of control in Grambling.

The Ruston Leader reported that the audience applauded several times while he was talking to the Town

Council last week.

Clark said image is very important to the small college town. He noted that when kids go to court, the pants come up and belts

get a bit tighter.

But he said he wants local residents to tell him whether they want such an ordinance — and if they don't, he will scrap the

idea.

The council agreed to hear more public opinion before introducing a resolution.
