The Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance will hold its Fun on the Bayou fundraiser at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the
Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel.
The event, which will benefit regional economic development, will feature live music, a dinner and a chance to win $10,000.
“It helps us build a better quality of
life for our community,” said Avon Knowlton, alliance director of member
and investor
services. “That’s our main focus, to be here for business and
industry. We fight to make a difference in the economic development
of this community every day.”
The event will feature a catered dinner and will include live music by the band Lagniappe, along with a comedy performance
and cash-prize drawings.
“This is the second year for our event,
but the first time we’ll be giving away $10,000,” Knowlton said. “We’ll
be pulling
tickets out of the hopper all night. The owner of every 10th
ticket we pull out will win $100. The owner of the last ticket
we pull for the night will be the winner of $10,000.”
Tickets for the event are $100 and will admit two. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
