DENHAM SPRINGS (AP) — Livingston Parish authorities are investigating a drowning at the Cajun Lagoon water park off La. 16 near Denham Springs.

Authorities said a 14-year-old boy drowned Tuesday afternoon. Medical personnel tried to revive him but were unsuccessful.

Deputy Chief Joe Koczrowski says the parish’s District 5 firefighters and sheriff’s office were called around 1 p.m. about the drowning.
