Crime Roundup: Vinton man charged with incest

A 47-year-old Vinton man has been charged with aggravated incest and sexual battery, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Gary Wayne Moody, 2215 Custer Drive, was arrested Saturday morning.

“On Saturday, detectives received a complaint regarding a cell phone video, which captured Moody exposing himself and masturbating in the presence of a (young) family member,” Myers said. “Detectives also discovered Moody had sexual contact with an (adult) female family member on numerous occasions since June 2013.”

Myers said Moody confirmed to exposing himself and touching himself in an inappropriate manner in front of the young child.

Moody remained in jail Monday on a $200,000 bond.

Lake Charles man charged with rape

A 42-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with simple rape.

According to records from the Calcasieu Correctional Center, Vris Junior Thomas was arrested Friday morning.

Thomas, 4202 Louisiana Ave., Apt. 8, remained in jail Monday on a $25,000 bond.

Moss Bluff man charged with carnal knowledge

A 17-year-old Moss Bluff man has been charged with two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Adam Tyler Soileau, 680 Goss Road, has been accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

Myers said Soileau confirmed the allegations to detectives.

Bond was set at $20,000.

Sex offender arrested in Lake Charles

A 37-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with failure to comply with sex offender identification requirements.

According to records from the Calcasieu Correctional Center, Terrell Monriguez Humphrey, 2910 Enterprise Blvd., was arrested Saturday.

Humphrey, who was convicted of molestation of a juvenile in 2005, remained in jail Monday on a $5,000 bond.

Three arrested in connection with burglary

JENNINGS — A Jennings man and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary.

David Citizen, 22, 211 Down St., was arrested on a burglary charge Monday along with two juveniles, according to Deputy Chief Danny Semmes.

The trio were arrested in connection with the recent break-in of a residence in which two laptops, a television, three remote-controlled helicopters and other items were taken.Most of the items have been recovered from the suspects’ residences, Semmes said.

Checkpoint in Sulphur results in one arrest

A 24-year-old Sulphur man was arrested Friday during a DWI and seat belt checkpoint on Ruth Street that conducted by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Kenneth R. Ledoux, 1314 Bradley St., was charged with first-offense marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice and resisting an officer.

Ledoux was released Sunday after posting a $3,500 bond.

Myers said 1,354 vehicles were checked, four field sobriety tests were administered and eight citations were issued.

Citations issued were: two for open alcoholic violations, one for no seat belt, three for expired inspection stickers and two for failure to use a child restraint system.

Raymond Paul Papillion, 57, 1600 Brick St. — possession of stolen things over $1,500, expired license, failure to signal. Bond: $52,000.

Mitchell Paul Vincent, 31, 300 Dobbertine Road, No. 35 — simple burglary. Bond: $50,000.

Kerlyne Natoshia Antoine, 37, 2256 Hampton Drive, Harvey — illegal carrying of weapon in presence of drugs, first-offense marijuana possession, speeding,
