The body of a Calcasieu Parish man found last month in the Neches River in Texas has been identified, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Rod Carroll said in a news release Thursday that 34-year-old Jose Guadaloupe Perez Campos’ body was found in the river south of the IH-10 bridge on May 16 by a fisherman.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Campos was reported missing May 12 by his employer. He lived on his employer’s property in Vinton when he was reported missing, she said.
