The Barbe High School Chorus will perform Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” at 7 p.m. Oct. 11-13 and
Oct. 20 in the auditorium at the Lake Charles-Boston Academy of Learning, 1509 Enterprise Blvd.
“This is a full production with costumes, sets, wonderful hand-painted scenery by Ronnie Collins and custom lighting,” said
Chris Miller, longtime Barbe choir director.
“This is not ‘South Pacific-lite!’ The students are doing great work, and the production promises to wow audiences just as
‘Oklahoma!’ did three years ago.”
Tickets are $10; all seats are reserved. To make reservations, call 217-4460, ext. 1443. Tickets are on sale 5-7 p.m. at LC-B
on show days and 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. every day at Barbe High.
