SHREVEPORT (AP) — Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton says the second explosion in about a month has been reported at Camp Minden.
No injuries were reported in the blast at the Go-Ex plant.
KTBS reported The explosion happened around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
State police say there was a small detonation inside an unstaffed building. The extinguisher system was activated and the fire was quickly put out.
Authorities said the explosion happened in a room where black powder used in muzzle loaders is crushed.
Less than a month ago, an explosion was reported at the Explo plant on the site.
Industries at Camp Minden produce munitions.
